Future Female Business Leader
In 1978 when she graduated from Mt. Juliet High School, the founder of Hutsenpiller Insurance, Tina Hutsenpiller, was looking for a career path. College was not an option due to financial restrictions. However, seeing her potential - a local female business leader name Mary Elizabeth Kelloway decided to give Tina a hand up. Mrs. Kelloway got Tina a job interview with a local insurance agency and even went as far as helping Tina buy new clothes for the job.
Over the next 40 years, Tina worked her way up at multiple insurance agencies across Middle Tennessee - when she finally opened Hutsenpiller Insurance in 1992. Since then, she has grown the business into a nationally recognized insurance agency and has helped thousands of people with their insurance.
The Future Female Business Leader Scholarship's purpose is to provide the same "hand up" opportunity that was the genesis of Hutsenpiller Insurance. Recipients of this scholarship must be a graduating female senior who wishes to pursue a career in business or insurance.
The FFBL Scholarship recipient will be given two options, each designed to help the student along the path they feel they are being led towards.
A one-time financial scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to your chosen school and will be designated as "non-tuition" so that the funds may be used for books, parking passes, meal passes, etc.
This option is designed for students not wishing to pursue college, but who would like a "hand up" into a career field. Scholarship recipients choosing this option will receive the following offer from Hutsenpiller Insurance;
Paid tuition costs for the State of Tennessee Insurance Pre-Licensing Course.
Paid testing costs for the State of Tennessee Insurance License Exam.
Upon completion of State Exams, students will be given a job offer from Hutsenpiller Insurance for a position within our insurance agency.
